Aero Advantage Pilot Proficiency Course Receives FAA WINGS Credit Approval
STOW, Massachusetts, 13 June 2011 – The Aero Advantage Single Engine Pilot Proficiency Course has been approved by the FAA for Wings credit. Pilots taking and passing this annual refresher course can receive up to 16 credits. This includes the 3 flight and 3 ground credits towards the completion of Basic WINGS. The completion of Basic WINGS resets the pilots requirements for a flight review under 14 CFR 61.56.
The Aero Advantage Single Engine Pilot Proficiency Program is a two day training program that provides recurrent ground, simulator and flight training to the owners/operators of high performance single engine aircraft. This program includes type specific sections relating to Bonanza, Mooney, Piper and Cessna aircraft.
“We designed this class with the busy professional high performance single engine aircraft pilot in mind”, commented Vincent Orlando, President/CEO of Aero Advantage. "While it is a two day class, the 8 hours of ground training can be delivered over the internet in our ‘virtual’ classroom. The course then only involves a single day commitment for the simulator and flight training. Four hours of the flight training is accomplished in the simulator. We use the simulator because it is more reliable than flight training, you don’t have to worry about the weather and it is less expensive and more reliable than an airplane. More importantly, our simulator allows us to present real world malfunctions that you cannot safely train for in the airplane. I have tested the simulator profiles myself and believe me, you will leave humbled, but a more confident and experienced pilot!”
The Aero Advantage Pilot Proficiency ground and flight training programs are conducted year round at various convenient locations and by appointment. For more information please contact us at sales@aeroadvantage.com

About FAA WINGS program
WINGS is designed to help build an educational curriculum consistent with and individual pilots unique flight requirements. Pilots attend seminars and complete online courses and flight activities to earn credits to complete each Phase of WINGS. Pilots need to earn six WINGS credits in each Phase; three knowledge activity credits and three flight activity credits. To ensure pilots receive a well-rounded learning experience, only certain activities fulfill certain credit requirements.
